Sales & Application Specialist – Life Science

Job Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Function | Accountabilities

We are looking for an experienced sales & application support professional who will work with a set of defined Named Accounts, helping them in their daily activities, offering the vast portfolio of products GBA can provide to them. We are passionate about our customer experience and satisfaction in every transaction, and the Sales & Application Specialist (LS) plays a crucial role here. Here are some of the most critical accountabilities:

  • Deliver agreed sales targets and growth in profitability by effective planning and customer engagement
  • Improve business performance in Life Science Projects
  • Customer satisfaction and loyalty, which are of paramount importance for our Life Science Business, are one of the key expected deliverables
  • Nurture and secure the long-term success of the existing customer relationship, achieving a growing wallet share within the current accounts. Have a documented and tailored account strategy, especially for the larger or most potential accounts.
  • Make prospecting of new business one of the daily activities by covering in new accounts and expanding coverage of end users in the existing accounts.
  • Accurately report all relevant customer interactions in the company CRM. Manage the funnel professionally, keeping it updated and readily accessible to other parts of the organization.
  • Maintain a well-managed funnel capable of securing an accurate forecasting process.
  • Ensure company compliance for each transaction, starting for clean and accurate order booking.

The Profile | Skills and Attitude

We are looking for a professional who is willing to develop his/her career in the fast-growing Life Science business:

  • Proven sales and strong application support track record in Life Science market space.
  • Excellent knowledge of Work Flows related to ‘Omics’, Human Genome & Exome sequencing
  • Capable of developing and implement long term sale account and coverage plan.
  • Engage effectively with the customer both technically and commercially. Capable of articulating plans and situations very clearly and effectively.
  • Ensure that all the established sales and internal processes (e.g., quoting process, funnel management, order acceptance, etc.) are followed systematically to secure efficient collaboration internally and with the customers.
  • Can develop and articulate business proposition balancing company and customer requirements. Can feel situation and customer and translate effectively whatever perceived in useful data that will drive decisions/actions.

Lab Manager

Job Location: Paradip, Odisha, India

The Function | Accountabilities

We are looking for a highly-motivated Lab Manager to join our team. This is a key position and, in this role, you will be the supervisor in charge responsible for administrating daily activities and assessing the work of other Chemists/ Senior Chemist at Polypropylene QC Laboratory at Paradip, Odisha. You must have the ability to work both independently and within a team. Must be able to independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines. We cannot stress enough the importance of this function for our customer, so we are looking forward to a seasoned professional who can make a lasting positive impact in the following areas:

  • Supervising Chemists/Senior Chemists daily activities - Lab Managers activity involves complete operation and maintenance of Polypropylene QC Laboratory including the building and infrastructure related facilities, laboratory equipment and furniture for self-reliant operation. Supervise manpower requirement for the laboratory round the clock shift coverage, back up manpower and other support facilities such as samplers, lab attendants etc required to complete the testing requirements as per sampling frequency and schedule of daily analysis round the clock.
  • Close engagement with Sales, Service and Procurement departments- Work collaboratively with other members of the leadership team and comply with policy and procedures, performance and reporting standards as defined by the organisation. Ensure that all the established internal processes are followed in a systematic manner in order to secure efficient collaboration internally and with the customers.
  • Managing customer incoming emails – This is another critical activity to be managed individually every day, Attendance of common email to be done in a flawless manner, ensure responses to clients are executed in Timely and proactive manner. Independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines.

The Profile | Skills and Attitude

We are looking for a professional with prior experience of managing a Petrochemical Laboratory / Polymer Laboratory and who is willing to develop his/her career in the fast-growing service business. Must have

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry (Polymer/ Organic/ Inorganic/ Physical/ Analytical) or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Petrochemical/Refinery/Polymer Laboratory with last 5 years’ experience in Polymer Laboratory
  • Experience in managing teams and ability to coach teams the best practices
  • Must be able to work under deadline and manage a growing team
  • Strong time management, professional oral and email conduct with exceptional customer service skills, including a strong desire to help customers and personal confidence in high pressure situations
  • Multi-tasking skills and ability to navigate multiple internal systems effectively is crucial
  • Has a genuine passion for customer satisfaction and advocate for it internally and externally in a very visible and integral manner
  • Must have a “can-do” attitude towards all tasks
