Service Sales Manager

The Function | Accountabilities

We are looking for the leader that will develop the Service business to new heights. We cannot stress enough the important of this function for our customers and vendors so we are looking forward to a seasoned sales professional which can make a lasting positive impact in the following areas:

  • Drive profitable service sales order performance across all the countries where Gulf Bio Analytical operates.
  • Nurture and continue the development of a sustainable service sales channel fostering best in class coverage across geographies, markets and accounts. Engage with the transactional sales team and foster collaboration across multi-channel environment with the goal of faster customer requests turnaround time and improved customer vicinity.
  • Drive a very target account development approach across the growing service portfolio ensuring first-hand interaction with named and major account where the personal engagement of the Service Sales leader is required.
  • Make prospecting of new business and/or new accounts a main objective of the service sales organization. Hire and reward with such overarching intent constantly in mind.
  • Develop and lead the SSD sales organizations in a sustainable manner, leveraging process across business while maintaining product and application knowledge focus throughout the sales team
  • Customer satisfaction and loyalty is of paramount important and for our Service Business is one of the key expected deliverables.
  • Make SSD a strong contributor to cash generation – given the nature of the business and the associated portfolio, the company looks at the service business as an effective way to generate cash vs capital equipment business.

The Profile | Skills and Attitude

We are looking for a professional with management and leadership skills who is willing to develop his/her career in the fast-growing service business:

  • Proven sales track record in the analytical or service business in the life science or applied market space.
  • Ability to develop long term sale account and coverage plan and ensure proficient implementation.
  • Engage effectively with senior management position within accounts and vendor organizations. Capable of articulating plan and situation very clearly and effectively.
  • Ensure that all the established sales and internal processes (e.g. quoting process, funnel management, order acceptance, etc.) are followed in a systematic manner in order to secure efficient collaboration internally to the company and to the customers.
  • When gaps are identified, can lead a cross functional team to develop or improve processes and/or go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead the team first-hand to ensure that the customer engagement is perceived by customers and the internal organization as value addition.
  • Can develop and articulate business proposition balancing company and customer requirements. Can feel situation and customer and translate effectively whatever perceived in useful data which will drive decisions/actions.
  • Has a genuine passion for customer satisfaction and advocate for it internally and externally in a very visible and integral manner.

Account Manager - Sales

Qualification: M. Sc. Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry /Life Sciences /Microbiology

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in related field

Job Description

  • Is responsible for sales activity of the company products in an assigned area including development of new business opportunities.
    • o Is responsible for meeting or exceeding the assigned sales target for his area
  • o Is responsible to quoting appropriate prices to the customer on a timely basis
  • o Is responsible for negotiating on price quoted with the customer and finalizing the deal with best effect
  • o Is responsible to call on prospective customers on regular basis and on organize demonstration/ presentation and maintain interest among the customer and prospects
  • Gathers, analyses and delivers information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies appropriate to the market Information dues include forecasting and lost order reporting as well as competitive information
  • Is responsible to help the sales executive and/or the senior sales executive to arrange for seminars, symposiums in coordination Product Specialist and Regional Manager
  • Is responsible to maintain and develop customer relationship on short and long term
  • Is responsible for coordinating / planning day to day activities for his team members in consultation with the Regional Manager and ensure implementation of the planned activities
  • Is responsible to focus attention in all respects on a group of customers in his region involving marketing and sales people as appropriate
  • Guides juniors whenever necessary like complicated negotiations, difficult customers etc.
  • Is responsible for being in contact with the middle level managers from customer side
  • Assures that technical/ commercial/ support issues facing the customers are resolved in coordination with Service/ Order Handling/ Application Support department
  • Acts as mentor for new inductees in his area
  • Is responsible to help AR team recover pending payment/ Agency Commission/ EMD in his area
  • To approve local expenses of his team member as per the guidelines set by the Accounts/ Purchase department
  • To provide necessary technical information for custom clearance
  • Is responsible for giving user information to Sales Coordinator so that she can maintain user lists etc.
