Benchmark MultiTherm Thermal Mixer

The MultiTherm Thermal Mixer is a temperature controlled vortexer, useful for a variety of molecular biology applications. Despite its modest 8 x 11 in. footprint, all popular tubes and plates are compatible, including as many as six 50 ml tubes. Speed, time and temperature settings are continuously visible on the LCD, simultaneously showing both actual and selected values. Integral over-temperature control ensures long life, safety and sample integrity.

Advantages of ThermoMixer

  • DISPALY/CONTROL: MultiTherm touch has a large, full color touch screen.Thermomixer C has a small display and keypad.
  • BLOCK CAPACITYL: MultiTherm Touch has a capacity for 35x1.5ml and 35x2.0ml. ThermoMixer C capacity for both is 24. MultiTherm Touch has a combo block for 15x0.5 and 20x1.5ml tubes, ThermoMixer C has none. NOTE - These are all great lockout specs for bids.
  • TEMPERATURE RANGE: MultiTherm Touch has a temperature range of ambient -20oC to 105oC. ThermoMixer C temperature range is ambient -15oC to 100oC. While this doesn't seem like a huge difference. It means that at normal lab temperature, the ThermoMixer C can't reach 4oC and the MultiTherm can.
  • PRICE: MultiTherm Touch and heated lid are slightly less expensive than their Eppendorf counterparts. However, the block prices are much different: MultiTherm Touch blocks list for $350-$599, Eppendorf blocks list for $900-$1200. Always price this as a package with blocks!
